I new to the board - Have a Carbon Grey/Grey 6spd and love it! I was wondering if anyone else's car makes this noise. Lock the doors with the remote - unlock - then open the door. Upon opening the lights on warning sound beeps one and a half times. All other times - no beep. The dealer said today that it was "normal" and checked it on another car - I will check the other car when I pick it up - but I thought someone out there might check for me.

Thanks in advance - And BTW - the TL loaner they gave me is nice - but the visibility and handling of the TSX has it beat - not to mention the price.

 

Hi and welcome... BTW, this has been asked before- search works pretty good here.

You are pressing the keyless button which blinks the parking lights.

You are opening the door during the parking light blink.

Whenever the door is open and the parking lights are on, a chime is heard.

If you unlock with the key, I suspect you don't hear the beep.

It's all normal. You need not worry about it.
