Ok .. this is my 5th time failed to start my engine after clearning my interior for 30 mins or so ~ Dealer did replace altenator couple mons ago but it seems not helping much.. ~~ so the problems always happens when i turn on the stero with the engine off for 30~45 mins ... and w/o HID or foglights on .. ~ the battery is in good shape which has a 14V when the engine is runing and 13V when it's off ... ~and it's a 1 yr old car ~ i dont think the stero can use that much electricity in 30 mins ... sthing is wrong with my car .. i geuss sthin is constantly using the power ... ~ well .. who knos .. ~ the battery is well charged and after the altenator replaced .. dont think the dealer can do much for my car except recharge which wont do any good .. ?? my G35 can play the stero for 2 hrs without the engine on ... compares to the TSX .... or Honda's battery really sux ? or it's too small hah ~ ~ any suggestions ??

 

I think everything is running just fine. There would be a error code in the computer if the alternator is not charging the battery. You will likely see the check engine light if that happens. The stereo draws a lot of juice (I think it is rated at 300 watts) - it happened to me the first week after I got my car when I was detailing the inside.

 

maybe you can hook up an ample meter to see how much your car is drawing the power from the battery when your car is not running.

Compare the spec to see how much it should be drawing.

so u guys think it's basically a common situation ?? ~ cuz i have called Acura Plus for boost for like 5 times ~ haha

 

When I was installing my XM radio, I had the ignition/radio/etc on for hours (had to leave the key in to keep the 5AT selector out of the way) and had no problems starting afterwards. 30-45 mins sounds kinda short to me.

 

i kno .. ~~ im sure there is sthing serious really wrong .. ~~ but have no clue where to start fixin this chaos seems there is basically no problems with the battery and altenator ~
