Batteries, autowindows, and more..

A couple days ago, my center console resetted itself and failed to respond until I detached and reattached the battery cables.

It happened again yesterday.

More interestingly, I was driving at night yesterday and both my headlights and center console went dark for two full seconds until the power caught its way back up, (happened twice within 10 minutes, but on the second time the VSA, AIRBAG, and SEATBELT signs came on) The question is, how does the car go dead when the car's in motion?

This morning I pressed "unlock" twice to open all windows (meaning the battery responded) but the car failed to start. None of the lights responded even when it was on the "II" mark, so again I had to detach and reattach the battery cables to make it function.

To make it more interesting, my autowindows didn't function until I resetted the whole system again by detaching and reattaching the battery cables.

Any help or comments would be appreciated.

And of course the battery's in good shape. It does not need to be charged or replaced.

That is how the car would act when the battery terminal cable from the battery to the fuse box was loose...? That is scary shite.

Get thee to an Acura dealer, go!

In case this happens to anyone else, the problem was "loose battery cables". It took the dealers two business days to discover.

Loose from the battery or loose from where they terminate? Where DO they terminate? Thanks a lot for the post -- hasn't happened to me but it's always good to know the solution before you have the problem.

If you feel what the situation is causing the car to be unsafe while driving, you can always drop the car off early and ask them for a loaner. Then they'll get to it when they have a chance.

That sucks though... i hopd you get everything solved quick.
