Question Bad Vibration at Speed

I'm feeling a vibration when going over about 100 km/h on the highway. I can feel it through the steering wheel and the seat. It seems like it's coming from the right front. Is this just an alignment issue or something more serious? My tire pressures are OK, so that's not the problem. Anyone else with similar issues?

I had a similar problem- when i was over 100km/h and i pressed the brakes, the steering wheel shook and slightly pulled me in a direction. I went to Acura, they shaved the rotors, and now its perfect. Free of charge!

Your wheels may not be properly balanced. When the dealer put on my winter tires they improperly balanced the front passenger and rear driver side tire.

Yep, could be the balance, could also be a bit of uneven wear. You could try switching them around. Had that problem once on my old Accord and when the pressure, alignment and balance all checked out, a simple l/r swap of the front tires cured it.

I had that problem too, but it was after doing a bunch of donughts in a parking lot covered in snow. I had to scrape all the snow our of the wheels and now it's fine

I would say its a balance problem. Just go back to the dealer and have then rebalance/check the tires.

this is going to sound dumb but make sure your lug nuts or on tight. ( torque them correctly).

my best guess is what everybody else is saying... it's a tire balance issue.

I had a belt fail in a tire once and this caused a vibration around 40 mph. The speed the vibration occurred at changed with air pressure. It did not show as off balance on a spin balance machine, and the alignment checked out as good, but on the road the steering wheel shimmed back and forth. Finally it came time for new tires and the car drove like new. Also, check to see if any of your weights have come off.

Or a tire may be "out-of-round", but they'll see this (well, if they are watching) when they balance the tire.
