bad factory amp???

so when i bought my car (04 navi) only the front speakers and tweeters worked, the back doors and the backseat speakers did not work, since i bought the car used i figure it was blown or there were none. Today i bought infinity speakers to replace it hoping it may solve this problem , but unfortunetly it didnt, the guy who installed my speakers told me it could be becasue of a bad factory amp.

anyone have any input on this? i dont understand if its a bad factory amp only the rear speakers are inop, i checked the wires and they all seem factory (non cut)

and if it is the amp anyone know where i can get one for cheap (order online, private seller)?

maye someone who has upgrade their amp to aftermarket ones can sell you theirs. And also it sounds like a burnt amp or maybe there is no signal going to the rear from the factory stereo. The stereo itself has front and rear signal outputs.

In the settings mode, maybe it is set only to the front. Have you tried adjusting the setting. The only way I can think of testing the stereo is tapping the rear speaker before it it hits the amp acording to the wire diagram and tap it to a LOC or MTX Re-Q with an amplifier and see if it produces any output. You will problebly have to open the part of the center console and pull out the wires leading to the amp. There is a DIY somewhere with a wiring diagram on the other forum. But I would try to borrow a friend oem AMP first before tapping into anything. And returning the amp if it is not the problem.
