Is it possible to configure the user settings on a Gen 1 with a manual transmission so that the doors automatically lock when you begin driving? I haven't been able to find an option for it.

 

I have the same question but for an automatic.

 

Make that 3 of us then (Auto as well).

 

I was wondering the same thing and assumed this was an option under the Driver settings, although I was incorrect. I have found a feasible alternative from KP Technologies that fit the bill. Weird, my '07 RDX Tech & '08 LX have this option. Acura & Honda sometimes make odd decisions with their car lineups.

 

I always wondered about this also.... This would be a really convenient feature.... Too bad they didn't put that as a standard feature....

 

The KP module works good. Mine locks up only if all the doors are closed within like 5-10 seconds of starting the car. If one is open then they won't lock (safety feature). You can also buy the add on to that for it lock doors once a certain RPM is reached like my wife's X5 does. I love the module though and agree Acura is retarded sometimes with their features lol. Just to put it out there, love their one touch sunroof module too. Hated having to hold the button there.

 

I think this was something that Honda/Acura slowly phased in as models became redesigned.

In the family, the Accord, Civic, and Odyssey we have/used to have (in the case of the Accord) all didn't have automatic locking.

 

yea i miss this option since i had this on my 2007 civic and i would like to have it on my TSX as well
