ARGH! rear ended

coming home from work today i got rear ended by a ford f-150.not very hard but hard enough to crush the steel bumper of the ford right in,as for my tsx there are two small circles where the screws on his licence plate hit my bumper, also a crease in the plastic just above.

You cant really see the damage unless ur about 3 ft away im just really pissed the my new car is bashed and possibly needs a new rear bumper

has anyone here had this happen did you get a new bumper or did they fix it?

Are there anyother problems that can be caused by being rear ended?

i seriously think there is a curse on my tsx. i've driven many different cars, but with the tsx, i've been rear ended 3 times in the past year. no, i don't break hard... perhaps it is bad luck.

first time i got rear ended, it cost nearly 800 dollars. new bumper cover, new styrofoam cushion, etc. new exhaust, new bumper. be sure to get genuine acura parts. (i also had the plate holes u are talkin about)

second time, just buffed away scratchs for 80 dollars

thrid, this is where it gets interesting. MAKE SURE YOU GET THE ESTIMATE FOR BEHIND THE BUMPER TOO. there was significant damage in the body. the floor of the trunk was warped, the impact bar needed to be replaced, there was lots of damage around areas where the sheet metal came together. $2100.... and my car is still in the shop. it has been there for almost 3 weeks.

MAKE SURE U GET GENUINE PARTS, LOANER CAR, THE AREA BEHIND YOUR BUMPER CHECKED, AND DEFINATLY LOTS OF PATIENCE.

Yes it has happened to me...

Yes. I was rear ended by a guy on a Harley about 5 months ago. The jerk didn't know how to stop a bike! Although the damage was cosmetic, the entire rear bumper facade had to be replaced. It was handled by a local body shop. The only problems was that they didn't mix the paint correctly. I have the Pearl White TSX, and the paint did not match...They fixed it and the car looks as good as new...

Keep in mind that although bikes can accelerate fast, they don't always stop fast!
