since the fist week the car was new the coolant reservour in the nfreont of the engine bay has been leaking a bit from the top. looks like its comming from right under the cap, and it closed tight. is it just me or anyone else have this. any fix out there?

 

probably a broken cap...if it's been doing it since the first week, you should have had the dealer fix it

 

i had the exact same problem. At first i thought it was a split hose or the cap but once i pulled a little coolant out of the overflow tank, still near the full mark though, it stopped doing it.

 

In order to work, the overflow tank has to be vented. The cap is not designed to tightly seal. As mentioned above, you're probably seeing coolant slosh in the tank coming up around the cap. Dropping the level a bit should help.

 

Yup, the overflow reservoir shouldn't be filled to the top anyway.
