Anyone have ClearBra or similar on front bumper?

Just wondering if any of my fellow TSX owners have the full bumper ClearBra kit. I've got the standard one that covers the front of the hood, fenders, and side mirrors, but the stone chips littering my bumper and front lip after only a year of ownership are making me wonder if I should have paid more and got the entire front kit.

So, those of you with the full kit, do you have the OEM body kit too? Does it protect the front lip at all?

Thanks.

Clear bra

I got the full kit for my TSX and love it. I wish I had done the entire hood of the car instead of just the front half.

The bra is defintely worth it and has taken several large rocks without damaging the paint underneath.

Get the good stuff like 3M's scotchcal brand, it will not yellow or anything and can be removed if needed.

I got the OEM front lip on my car along with the full clear bra kit and my installer was able to find the pattern which covered the OEM lip. So far its held up pretty well.

I too was thinking about getting the 3M clearbra. I'm getting a new front bumper this week (current one has some old scratches and a new one from an asshat who hit and run my poor car last weekend). Thinking I want to protect it after I invest in a new bumper.

What's the going price?
Anyone have any recommendations in NJ (preferably Central Jersey)?

Sorry...don't mean to hijack your thread ryanhook.

Don't expect the clear bra to protect against everything. I live in a shipping port that also has a lot of construction traffic (Charleston, SC), and after several things going clear through the bra and scratching the paint underneath (making it very difficult to touch up) I removed it. I guess I'll just have to get the hood and bumper repainted in a couple of years.

I install Venture Shield and just put the entire front bumper kit on my car. I wish I had it the day I drove off of the lot. Although I don't have the OEM lip kit. I love it.

I just repaced an azine members (Clay8898) 3m clear bra on his TL. He had the bumper, hood and rear view mirror package and someone hit his front end and the clear bra saved it. When I removed his bumper part there was no damage on the paint at all. The film saved it. The Venture Shield I re-applied is clearer than 3M. 3M has a slight yellowish tint on it.

But as far as the clear paint protection film goes....It is well worth the money.

Just the bumper kit for the TSx with the OEM body kit runs about $320. And the extended hood kit is about $195. Prices vary from manufacturer to mfr.

I have OEM kit and clear bra. It saved my bumper from plenty of scratches, including when I hit a huge chunk of drywall on the highway. No scratches. Well worth the dough.

I've seen Elio's and you can barely tell it's even there. He showed me the spot where the dry wall hit and there was little to no damage. I wish I would have gotten it on my car a long time ago. I already have a few scratches and chips. Not much I can do now I guess.

Thanks guys. I'm kicking myself for not getting the full kit. The hood and mirror bits have definitely done their bit so far. The bumper should have got the treatment too.

The no-bumper kit is primarily intended for pickup trucks and others without painted bumpers...
