Another thread about problem with the steering wheel
I have an 06 TSX. Recently, I've been having a number of problem that I have not encounter the 2 years that I've owned the car. First, it was the brakes squeaking and the it's the stupid humming/hissing sound coming from the drive belt in the engine compartment. Now, it's the damn steering wheel acting up. I cannot pinpoint or fully describe the exact problem because I've never heard of or experienced such problem before. But, I have to say every time when I start the car cold and begin to jiggle the steering wheel a bit, it would feel a bit 'bumpy'. This problem is more noticeable when I start to drive the car and making turns. The 'bumpy' feeling is from the steering wheel itself and not the wheels. I can feel my hand feeling a bit 'bumpy' when I attempt to turn the wheels. Of course, this problem does go away after about 10 minutes of driving. But it returns when I restart the car a couple of hours later. This is so frustrating as I was beginning to like my car. But I'm thinking of trading it in for a civic...not....
anyone else got the same problem. I hope i'm not alone

You might want to check your power steering fluid. Maybe it was contaminated in some way. This is just a guess but it sounds like the steering fluid may be too viscous or of not consistant viscosity at cold temperatures. My
So I took the car to the dealership today to have them check out the problems stated above. As it turns out, the car has a few issues that were covered by warranty. So I'm happy about that. BTW, got an 09 with tech package as a loaner. The car feels a bit peppy. Maybe, I have not driven an auto in years. The paddle shifters felt nice but impossible to reach when turning the steering wheel. I like the sound system. Much nicer than my stock
The new leather seats felt nice. I like it a lot. Overall, I'd rather keep my 06 TSX. Thanks for reading. Picking the car up on Saturday as they have to order in the part on Friday. I have an extra day to play with the loaner.

got my car back
Ok guys, after 3 days of driving the loaner. I finally got my car back. It feels so good to be in my 6MT again. So much more fun to drive. The loaner just not for me
even for the added extra torque at the low end. The paddle shifters were just too hard for me to adjust to when turning the wheels. Just don't know which is up and which is down. I had to look at the steering wheel to find them.
anyways, according to the work order, they cleaned out my rotors and lube brackets to stop the squeaking that I got when braking. They had to replace the power steering racks and redo the alignment due to the steering wheel vibrates on cold start. As for the humming/or hissing noise that was coming from the engine where the belt, they reseal and tie all the rods/hose. Overall, I'm satisfied for now.
All the problems seem to disappear. Will see if they returns in the next week
For now, I have to say Ron Tonkin Acura did a very good job of taking care of me.
Here is a few pics of the loaner. The funny thing is they gave me the same color as my 06
