annoying moving armrest!!!

I dont really care for the adjustible armrest in my tsx, has anyone here attemted to stop that? I though about screwing the armrest stationary, but i worry that it will screw up my car.

i find the same problem, but only when a passenger is in the car. When i am driving by myself it does not bother me.

I put up a thread on this a while ago and nobody seemed to have a problem with their armrest.

IMO, I hate it now b/c whenever someone else is in the car using it too, it definitely slides forward on me.

I was looking to make it stationary too or take it back to the dealer for a new one and then never slide it. It scares me to think one day I'll be driving, hit the brakes and WHACK!! it slides forward. IMO, there should've been a locking mechanism and not the compression fit that it has today.

I agree completely, Moda. So many other small details are done really well in this car. This really stands out.

I suspect it will get worse as the part ages.

Don't need the sliding armrest <----- tall dude.

Now that I think about it, the armrest has moved forward a few times by accident (usually with a passenger applying pressure at the same time). I'd prefer it to be stationary, rather than a potential annoyance down the road.

I live in SoCal and I still haven't used my sunroof -- so I've obviously got bigger problems on my hands

I like it and find that it never slides on its own. If its annoying a little hot glue should entice it remain stationary.
