Alternatives to no radio?
Afternoon
When i bought my acura tsx, knowing well that the radio was non functional however for the price i couldnt offer it down.
The last owner swapped the radio with a fake radio and thats not trouble some for me, however it came with a aux cord hooked into somewhere. After watching a few youtube videos and saw that you can install this aux cord into the car, i did it and now im wondering if theres any way to play the music from my iphone without needing to switch to "aux" mode on my non-functional radio.
When i went to a sound store they said id have to go back to stock setup, but thats too pricy for someone who barely uses radio or navigation.
This is what it currently looks like
Any help is greatly appreciated!

No, you're gonna need a functional radio. Oem or aftermarket.

The storage slot below aftermarket display could fit a single DIN radio. You could add an unit with a wired AUX connection and bluetooth audio streaming. The only other choice is look for a used OEM audio unit to clean up the dash and have the built in AUX connection. I think the 04 TSX didn't have an AUX connection and I don't know if the +05 head unit is interchangeable with the 04?

Sorry to completely revive a dead thread, but i only came back to this because my friend told me i should get an FM transmitter. I already have an aux cord in the car i just have no idea how to get it to work, would the FM transmitter work at all?

If you've added a functional radio, then yes it will work, if not, it won't.

In order for the FM transmitter to work, you need an FM receiver - aka a radio.
