My driver airbag light is coming on sometimes and the dealer said a front sensor was bad, and could not cover it under warranty, has to get it ok'd by some district manager..I will find out more details on Monday but I was wondering if anyone has had this problem.

 

I thought the airbag system was covered for the life of the vehicle on the TSX 04 model.

 

I just found out today the sensor in the seat belt receiver is bad on my 2005 and that's why the light is coming on. The airbag system (SRS) is NOT covered, however the seat belt receiver is. Great news right? WRONG! Since the receiver still holds the seat belt in place it is not considered to be bad and I must pay $230 to replace it. It's this or if I get in an accident the airbags wont deploy. They used to cover them but according to the service writer "Acura has tightened their belts"
