Exclamation Air Conditioner Issue - File A Complaint

I was just reading up on an attempt to get a recall issued for a certain Italian motorcycle via the NHTSA. Well, got me thinking, we ought to do this for the air conditioner issue on our TSXs. I would file one, but so far mine is doing okay. The idea is that if enough complaints get filed with the NHTSA, then an investigation would be started.

I agree, maybe this could help. I'd file one, but my A/C is still ok as well.

Should I file a complaint even though my non-Acura extended warranty (Hendrick Autoguard) covered everything but $100 worth of parts? I wouldn't mind my $100 back, lol.

If you had work done and spent $1, I would file a complaint. Again, if no one files, then nothing gets done. I'm still without issue, but if I did have one, I would've filed my complaint already.

Curious, what is the thought process of this being a safety issue?

It is an investigative process that should be looked into. Maybe it leads to a TSB rather than a recall if we're REALLY lucky.

the a/c is not a safety issue as the car will not stall nor lead to a crash if the a/c quits working. if that was the case the LITTLE 3 would have been out of business about 15 years ago for the problem.

Bump for a good cause.

These air conditioning issues are very concerning, it actually makes me a little glad I live in a climate where I would only need to use my AC 5 months out of the year. Tell the truth, I don't really even like air conditioning.

knock on wood, no problems here on my '04 either but it would be nice if something ever does happen that getting it fixed would be that much easier.

I've also filed one for the weak paint that lead to a bunch of rock chips on the front bumper.

I didn't realize the form I filled out was strictly for safety issues.

In any case, regardless of safety, the thought is that if enough people submit complaints that somebody somewhere will decide to do an investigation. I think it's worth a shot.
