Acura NAVI

So about 6 months ago i had tint put on my 04 TSX. All windows but the windshield. Ever since, i havent been able to get any reception on my navi, and im constantly losing my reception. Does anyone know if there is a way to increase the signal strength, or to somehow put a antenna on the outside of the car?! i have no idea where im going :-(

if u used metallic tint, then it'll affect ur signal. Ceramic tint is the way to go.

your navi unit and antenna is under the rear deck. The metallic particles in your tint will reflect the signal away from the navi antenna.

Code:
             |  _____________
             | /
       <-----+/
       ______/
            {Navi}

You should either replace your tint with ceramic tint, or figure out how to relocate your navi's antenna somewhere else. Or you can find some way to lower the satellite's orbit to make it closer to you and perhaps boost your signal level

I wouldn't mess with moving the navi unit...I once accidentally hit it when I was putting something in my trunk, and my navi thought I was driving at an angle (all the roads were crooked on the screen). I tugged at my navi unit, and now my streets are lined up again with the car's orientation
