6mt turn off VSA
6mt turn off VSA
i've looked through the threads and don't see anything on this....
has anyone noticed on the 6mt that when you turn off the vsa going into 1st and 2nd gear is more smooth since the computer isn't screwing you up?
just my

I've never tried, but I will tomorrow! I was under the impression the VSA wasn't doing anything unless it detected wheel spin(in any direction including sideways), but I don't know exactly how it interacts with the car under normal circumstances.
When you have the VSA switched on, do you see the VSA light on the dash flash when you shift gears?
I could be wrong about this, but when the VSA is "activated", isn't that light supposed to flash? A few times while taking off quickly in the rain I see it flash momentarily.
Anyway, I plan to switch it off tomorrow morning to see if there's a difference.

no of course not...but i think it still affects the car, seems jumpy(kinda jerky) in the first few gears when syncronizing clutch(can be smooth, but doesn't feel normal to other MT cars w/o traction control)
