This isn't a problem for me so much as a notice to owners who may have a ticking sound in their 6MT TSX. I took my car in for an oil change this past weekend, and since i bought it used a couple months ago I asked the service advisor for a printout of the service history. What I found was interesting: at 300 miles the original owner complained of a continuous ticking sound coming from the tranny. The shop looked at it and determined it to be OK. At 700 miles the car came back with the same symptom and the next tech determined that some particular part (I think it was a bearing) in the tranny was faulty and Acura replaced the entire tranny.

I bought the car at 13k miles and it is an Acura Certified used car, which I'm surprised by since it had a major replacement done. The good thing about it being certified is the 100k powertrain warranty that the program includes Don't know if this is of any value to anyone but I thought I would let you all know.
