as the frowny face illustrates, i am sad i was driving today and i needed to make an exit but a car was not too far away from me from an intersecting street so just so i could clear the turn without making him/her jam on their brakes (and just for fun's sake) decide to redline into 2nd gear. but this time 2nd gear caught me of guard and i ended up experiencing one of the most gut wrenching grinds i have ever had the displeasure of hearing. but this was on my way to church and didnt really have an opportunity to start redlining into 2nd all willy nilly to see if it was driver error or just whatever. so later on in the night i hav the chance to see what's what, and here is what i have found out so far. 2nd gear DOES NOT want to cooperate with me while in vtec. it just wont. if i do manage to get the car into 2nd it would only be with great force and may or may not even go into gear right away (out of first). i even tried taking more time with the shifting to see if that would help. it didnt... any suggestions?

 

Did you do a transmission drain and fill recently?
- only thing I can suggest.
