2008 tsx headlight issue

My 2008 tsx driver side headlight has a dark ring when the lights are on. Also the light scatters down the corner and not a clean cutoff at the bottom. The passenger side headlight it how it should be but can figure out the issue on the driver side. Please help.

Did this just happen or was any work done on HIDs lately? Any minor accidents, condensation issues in the past, or UV hazing? I would double-check the HID and clips to make sure the bulb isn't loose. It is very easy to put the HID bulb in the wrong orientation causing the bulb to be at the wrong angle slightly. I would even go as far as switching both HIDs to see if it is the housing, bulb, or ballast. The HID bulb has a long brown or blue grounding wire running the entire length of the light element. That grounding wire should be facing down for the HID to seat properly in the HID housing and for the clips to secure properly.

the driver side bulb is not seated correctly. Take it out and put it back in, properly.

The front bumper looks like it has been re painted for whatever reason maybe a small accedent but was never reported. Also there’re was a condensation issue that I fixed with silicon. I switched the bulb and even put a flashlight down the projector lense and same issue.

Sounds like the projector lens is out of alignment or loose in the housing? It might be worth to check out replacement HID units on eBay or U-Pick-Um lots instead of trying to fix yourself since the HIDs are so important. Hopefully, you are not blinding other drivers with the bad driver's side HID.

^yeah, I would just pick up a whole new headlight housing...if the projector itself is off or broken, then there is no way you'll be able to get the bulb to seat...

but first, make sure you're installing the bulb correctly, as you can see light escaping...meaning the bulb isnt seated correctly.

Im pretty sure it is correctly sitting in there but I’ll double check.

I just switched the Bulbs and the driver side still has that issue. Also it’s sitting in there correctly but the light still leaks.

so, either the notches are broken, wont allow bulb to seat correctly. (which would mean replacement of the projector itself or replacement of the whole headlight housing)

or

it's still not seated correctly.

I may just ask the dealer about it because I’ve tried pretty much everything.

Is it an aftermarket driver's side headlight housing by chance? Look at the stamp on the light itself.

Wow, that’s it. It’s not an oem part. The passages says HONDA on it and the driver side says a different brand.
