Hi all!

I have a 2004 tsx with roughly 180k miles, wonderful car, I love it! It still rides really well except recently a red light that looks like an oil lamp has popped up on the light panel. It came on, we drove home about 5 miles. Next day turned car on and light wasn't there, however during the morning drive taking my son to school, about 3 miles it turned on again. Any suggestions?

 

First try reading the owner's manual. That should tell you what the light indicates. Then, once you discover what seems to be triggering the light, assuming it's a "bad" light, perhaps you should have it fixed.

 

sounds like the oil pressure switch is going out

 

Check oil level, likely low. At OP's mileage, there is probably some oil burning going on. My 2004 at 158k miles burns about a quart every 5000 miles.
