07 TSX rattle

I've read a lot about the different rattles in the TSX but I haven't seen anything about the one I have.

I have an 07 with about 16,000 miles on it and I just recently noticed a very metallic sounding rattle coming from the front drivers side. You can only hear it with the windows down and only when going over bumps. I haven't taken it to the dealer yet, i wanted to see if anyone else has this problem.

It almost sounds like the muffler is loose. But I had a friend/mechanic look under the car and nothing obvious was loose.

Has anyone else had this problem?

Thanks.

I hear this noise, exactly as you describe it, but from the front passenger side.

i don't hear any rattles on my 07. just a faint squeek from the rear from my tein basics or sway bar over small bumps at slow speeds.

if it is from the passenger side, it could be the glove box rattling (something my car has).

Take it to the dealer, I had this and got it fixed... It's the glove box's loose latch and the dealer guys will tighten it.. You can also fix it yourself, not a biggie.

We have an 05 TSX and started having that same problem a while back. I've done mechanic work all my life on the side and inspected every possible thing from head to toe on that car and couldn't find anything wrong from underneath and the top. Then one day I was replacing the air filter and looked down at the bracket holding the battery down. I tried to wiggle it and it wasn't super tight but did move a little. I thought to myself - this can't be causing the problem but put some threadlocker on the nuts and tightened it up. NO NOISE since doing this simple fix. Just thought I would share.

I had a sort of squeak in my car.
it was the seat. they fixed it at the dealer.
that was a fairly obvious one.

there's a TSB for the window squeak thing.

How do you tighten the latch?

I've got the plastic rattle noise from the passenger side A-pillar and could not get it fixed after 2 dealer visits. The annoying part is the same problem could not be reproduced at the dealers side even a mechanic was sitting next to me during a test drive. I applied this fix suggested by this service bulletin http://www.tsobad.com/jtso/Misc/04-042.pdf but problem persists. It is super annoying and really makes me feel selling my 07 TSX with only 9600 miles on it. Any suggestion is appreciated.

It might not be from the A pillar. I have a similar noise coming from the passenger side of my 08. What I think is rattling is the trim around where the seat belt attaches to the passenger seat. Because of what and where it is, it doesn't make any noise when somebody sits in the passenger seat. So, if the mechanic is riding shotgun, you won't be able to reproduce it.
