I've only had my car for a few weeks and it's been raining a lot. The passenger side blade was rubbing at the lower part of the windshield and didn't get much better after I cleaned it. I finally took it to the dealer yesterday where they tried to clean it and eventually swapped them out for new ones from another '06 on the lot.

The rubbing at the bottom portion of the windshield seemed to get better but the top portion started to rub. A few hours later it seems as if things are back to square one. I'm not sure if the dealer has ordered new wiper blades or new wiper arm assemblies as I got tired of waiting around after an hour.

Anyone else with this problem. Could it be the wiper arm tension and is this adjustable?

 

Yeah it's been raining in my area a good few times here and there . . . but I don't notice anything wrong with the wipers . . . I mean they seem fine to me . . . so I dunno . . . I'm not noticing any rubbing or what not . . . wipers are pretty much quiet . . . sorry to hear you have this issue . . . that must really suck

 

Okay, problem solved. I thought the dealership had put some rainx type product on the windshield when I brought it in but I guess not. Applied some and it's working much better now. I should have tried that sooner.

 

I also have the problem with streaking and rubbing sound from passenger side wiper. I also used Rain-X with no help. This problem seems common. Anyone else with a good solution?

I've brought this to the attention of my Acura dealership several times:

1) let's change the wipers
2) let's clean the window & replace wipers
3) all cars do it and so there is nothing we can do about it.
