06 TSX Service lights

Hi Yall , After lurking the forums searching for any similar posts with my issue I decided to just post and see if I can get some help. I recently purchased a TSX from a family member who is the second owner. Owner says he was having some issue with the ignition or starter, says he replaced the started and ECU/ECM. The person who installed the ECU/ECM said that the car should be taken in to the dealer to have the service lights "reset". The car has CEL, VSR, ABS etc lights are all on when driving the car. The car runs smooth with no obvious issues other than the tachometer not working. Does this sound like a bigger issue or is this a simple light reset that will probably cost an arm and a leg? Now i know there are inexpensive code readers that can reset the lights but is that really what i need ? Any recommendations?

The dealership can read any codes and give you an estimate for repair for a diagnostic fee (usually around an hour to check at whatever the labor cost per hour). It could be a simple clearing of codes or there might be a faulty sensor. Acura will apply the diagnostic time towards the repair if you decide fix it then. My 06 TSX has a little under 150,000 miles and it is a very reliable vehicle if you do routine maintenance and have some cash on hand for normal wear/tear items like alternator, battery, suspension parts, power steering pump/rack, or door actuators.
