Got in my ride today to go for lunch. No radio.

I push the Audio button, nothing. I push the power button, nothing. The top display is out as well. Navi is working though, screen works for AC, menus, etc.

I got in to the diagnostic mode(holding Map, Menu, cancel) and Audio comes back in red with NG displayed. No Ground maybe? I looked in the fuse box but not sure which one is the radio and don't have a puller to look at them all.

Any ideas?

 

I've had the screen go completely black twice with no response to pressing buttons. As soon as I turned off the car and started it again it was back to normal.

 

dude, it's under honda extended warranty for all the problems...I think to 7yrs 100,000mi

 

That's for the printed circuit board on 2004s. Don't think it applies to 2006 models.

 

I asked my friend, an acura service manager and he said the extended warranty was for 04's. did not extend for 06's. The warranty for them is 50,000 miles which means my 06 is out of warranty.
Take the car to the dealer and have the radio replaced if it is under warranty.

 

There is/was a recall for this; known issue with circuit board. Going to dealer on Monday.

 

Like I said, that was for 2004 models. Yours might be a completely different issue since most of the time the problem was with the backlights going out around the radio.
