06 TSX air bag light

06 TSX air bag light

im normally in the 3g Tl section all the time but my wifes been naggin me about something going on with her car lately. She keeps telling me that the Passenger air bag light in her 06 tsx keeps going on and off randomly. Any clue?

It could be a bad airbag sensor. I read somewhere in the manual that even putting weight on the rear passenger floor mat of the hook could mess with the airbag lights. Or something interfering with the hook can set it off

Suggest having the code read. This will tell you what is likely causing the fault. It can be done manually, but it requires installing a shorting jumper across two the OBD2 contacts.

It might be due to a bad seat belt sensor. Several members of this forum have had the same issue. Take it to dealer. If it is seat belt sensor, the repair should be covered for free. There is a lifetime warranty on the seat belts.
