Exclamation '06 Manual Transmission... no 4th, 6th or reverse

When I shift to all the bottom gears (2nd, 4th, 6th & Reverse) it feels very soft... mushy. 2nd gear works... but 4th, 6th and reverse do not. The other gears.. 1st, 3rd, 5th feel fine.. perform well. So to drive I have to go 1st -> 2nd (mushy feel but works) -> 3rd-> 5th. I'm thinking it's in the linkage. Anyone ever had this problem? Any info would help. Thanks

I just started having this problem. I posted in another thread, seems to be the cable because if I have someone hold down the clutch I can put the car into gear shifting with my hand under the hood and the clutch grabs fine every gear.

Ok, so since no one who has had this problem has reported back to us after getting it fixed I'm proud to announce all it was was the shifter cable. I ordered a new one for $126 tax + shipping and finished putting it in today. If you have the problem listed above, it is indeed the shifter cable. To the original poster, if you got it fixed... F**k you for not coming back to these forums to share your results.
