I have a 2004 TSX with NAV and recently the temperature adjust button on the driver's side stopped working.

It will not turn the temperature down but will only turn it up. I figured that this would be an easy fix but the dealer told me the whole console with NAV screen and all would have to be replaced at a cost of about $2,600.

This seems pretty ridiculous for a little button. The worst part is the tech that worked on my car felt compelled to turn the temp up to 90 when I had left it at 73!

Anyone have any ideas? Summer is fast approaching and I need some AC!!

 

Does the 04 have the voice commands? If so just have to tell the car(literally) what temp you want

That sucks, $2600 for a button. How many miles? Are there any other dealerships you can try that might have another idea to fix it rather than replace the entire center console?

 

Hey bro, my acura 2004 tsx has the same as your problem. Did you fix it yet? how much does it cost you?

 

My 04 is non-nav but I have taken it apart twice to replace the PCB. Those button parts are not really replaceable. You might just try buying a used center stack
