What a way to start my day!

Well I just drove back to school after my Thanksgiving break. As soon as I parked in the school lot, I start to smell something burning from the outside of my car. I did not know it was my car at first, until I got out and saw smoke coming from the engine bay.

Well as a self diagnosis, I believe that my oil pan gasket blew, or the plug came loose. Either way, oil got everywhere from my wheels, to the complete under carriage, to the entire right side of the car, and the trunk and rear bumber. She looks like I washed her in oil. It was weird because I didnt get any warning signs beforehand (like the dash). Plus it was time for an oil change, and I had to get my drivers side door lock serviced.

Thank God for warranty, so I shouldn't have to pay for a single thing. Plus I got a 07 SSM w/ Navi loaner, carwash, and they said they could try to buff out the scratches on the front bumper that came with it upon my purchase. As well as some service updates for my HIDs, and trunk wiring. Great timing I guess.

Hope everything continues to go smoothly. +1 for Warranty, and USAA insurance!

Here she is on the drive to the dealer. Had a nice convo, with the driver.

Plus, Im new been reading the forums for a while. So hi

Almost forgot. Got her back from the dealer last week. Everything seems to be good. Still a little oil on the undercarriage. I'll take care of that myself. On a side note, got my power door lock fixed no charge, a free oil change, and carwash. And yesterday, I got my TL fob key cut and programmed for $50.

Not bad .

Yeah USAA is the absolute best. And they said whoever changed my oil last time at the dealer crushed my oil filter, and that was the root of the problem. This all occured prior to me purchasing the vehicle.
