I watched my guy retint my car and saw how he pulled them.

Basically he takes a razor blade and catches and edge from the corner and he pulls. As he peels it off he uses his Invisible glass spray on cleaner to get the sticky residue. As he does this he peels that residue off with his plastic squeegee. After the tint is at the bottom he just yanks it (since he didn't take apart my door frame to do the install. Looked simple enough, but I bet it's a bit more difficult.

hey thanks, yeah sounds easy. i'm worried that when i start peeling that it will tear amd make for a harder removal. guess i wont know until i try

But anyways, so after the film was removed there was the sticky residue left over on the glass that he cleaned off? Did it look hard to remove?

Tint removal 101. Use a razor blade to catch th edge and once you get enough to grab, peel it! Or if you have a good scrapper you can just blast away with the scraper. Or if you're a true "Tint Baller" you can use a steamer and the tint will practically fall off. well maybe not, but it peels off witht he glue nice and smooth. If you end up having to deal witht he glue you can use alcohol or simple green with a white scub pad or steal wool.

As far as the yum yumms, they are holding up well! When your mirrors get dirty they look twice as dirty though. The reverse lights look hot! Lots of people notice them.

Here's a pic of the reverse lights
MOD EDIT: Pic removed. Treading on thin ice here. If you're going to sell items using AZINE you need to become a vendor.

Has anyone else tinted thier reverse lights yet? I'd like to see them on a different color.

This can of spam would be the first full shot of a TSX with tinted reverse lights. Anyone got any spam free pics? I would love to see them.

Looks good on white! So is the pic with the lights on showing the difference between a tinted light and non-tinted? I can't wait to see them on black as well. Since it's so light it doesn't really affect the brightness of the reverse lights. Koyi(clay8898) and other azine members are gonna be meeting at the shop on Sunday for a mini meet and cruise by the waterfront. I plan on getting a pattern from Koyi's 3rd gen TL reverse lights so I can match his reverse lights up with his stock blueberry rear views. Will post a pic of those as well.

Honestly i did not notice a difference in the taillights when on. If so its probabably very minimal, Actually i think that pic i took with the lights on is with only one side tinted so you can't really see a diff. It does look nice on PWP though, at a nice angle it's sexy.

I'll take some far away shots.

xixor-gonna do that next.

drigo-yvrtsx came down from bc to get some chocolate window skins slapped on his car and I noticed that smoke look. So it's an 06 thing and not a thing then. He didn't want them on his, but I should have tried it out for looks anyway. Now i'm curious.

yum yums

I purchased a set through his auction. The reverse lights look sweet. the rear
view mirrors are still in question. They look a little foggy on the drivers side
but the passenger side is clear (as stated earlier in this post). Its worth the money to get it just for the reverse lights if I don't keep the sideviews on.

will do drigo!

buckeye78-My sides were foggy for about a week or so. Let the sun hit them and they should clear up. Just give them a little bit of time before you remove them.

I agree, the reverse light s really make a difference. Very noticable. Not as noticable on the 3rd gen TL as the TSX though. I threw them on clay8898's TL at this past Saturdays meet in Fife and he's happy with them. Also hooked up an 03 RSX with the blue berry yum yumms. We were talkin a little smack to the 3rd gen TLer's about how they aint the only ones with baller blue rear views

They are holding up really well so far. I haven't hit them with a pressure washer yet though. I'm still wondering if that will rip them off. Normal hand washing hasn't affected them a bit yet.

I have hit my tail lights with a pressure washer... they held up fine. Though i didn't actually try to take them off with the washer, i just washed normally and they are still going strong!

Just scheduled an 06 for tint on Friday morning. I'll throw a set on and snap some pics. She has no clue about Acurazine yet, but by the time she leaves my shop she's gonna know more than she'll ever know about her TSX.

has anyone put the sideview mirror tint on a 2004? my driver side fits perfectly, but the passenger side is just a mm too big. I tested it out on a 2006 and it fit nearly perfect. which makes me wonder, is the 04 and 05/06 sideview mirror part different sizes? this all seems very strange, maybe because of the heated mirror portion?

I too, had the same problem yesterday. The driver side fit perfectly and I was having problems fitting the passenger side (because it was a tad-bit bigger then the actual mirror). So this morning I decide to rip them both off.
