Does anyone have TL rims on the TSX and if someone does how much more/less did it cost them? Does anyone have pictures?

Thanks

Sure you could, but you'll seriously overpay.

Check the black market here or look on eBay......

Wider rim = more tire = more traction.

Plus, the TL rims actually look pretty good on a TSX.

I put on the TL rims cuz I did not like how our TSX 7 spoke wheels have 55mm offset. It makes the wheels look too pushed in, or skinny. TL rims give 1 extra inch in width, improves handling and looks better with lower offset temporarily. The TL rims are going to come out and new 18s are going on my car tomorrow if not friday I believe JTso also have the TL rims as temporary replacement until he gets his 18s.

How much heavier are the TL rims than the TSX rims? I think they look nice, but the extra weight would be my only concern.

They're actually similar if not the same to our TSX oem wheels, only thing heavier are the tires 235/45/17 from stock TL has a lot more rubber. I'm guessing about extra 1 lb on each tire.

Thats right!! The wider TL rims & tires and the 5-spoke look gives the TSX a more sporty and aggresive look over the stocks. I'll have to take some pics. We should have a couple of TSX's riding on TL rims at the So Cal TSX meet on the 26th.

YOu can also make friends w/ the service people or the mechanics at your local Acura dealer. They usually have stock TL takeoff rims/tires sitting around which they would be willing to sell for much cheaper than brand new OEM rims.

For instance, a guy at my local Acura dealer has about 5 complete sets of TL wheels/tires left over from upgrading a few TLs to A-spec and he is selling them for $800 per set. This isn't really cheap, but I'm sure the price is negotiable and it is still cheaper than buying brand new OEM TL rims.

I think Sleeper has the TL rims too, but dont think he'll have his car at the meet next week. Cobalt, enjoy the TL rims and dont go doing 100mph through the mountain twisties, LOL, that drive we took tonight was just amazing! Gonna see if I can get either the Injen CAI or Comptech rear sway bar in before the meet next week.

TSX rims' values

I realize the dealer will charge much more for the TL rims than ebay but how much are the factory tsx rims on the car worth. It's not like you have to just buy TL rims you're also trading in the brand new tsx rims/wheels for them. If you go the ebay route than you end up with two sets of rims and you have to try and unload the tsx ones which I'd rather not be bothered with.

Thanks,
Cru

ALright, I'll keep you updated, probably gonna wait until next saturday that's when I'll have my car all waxed up. So far I'm very happy with how the 18s look on my car. I only wish these rims come in 8" width with 45mm offset or 7.5" with 40mm offset, then they'd look even better

Must be a west coast thing. Around here, nobody upgrades wheels/tires through the dealer. Actually, not that many people upgrade at all.

Are these dealerships screwing people out of their stock rims? If you buy the A-Spec wheels or the package through the dealership, you should retain the stock wheel/tire, even if it's only so you can sell it. I can't imagine the dealership giving credit for it.

Nah. They always offer to give the rims/tires back to the owners. THe sets they have are from owners who don't want them sitting around their garage and don't want the hassle of selling them, etc.

Check my ride and you'll understand why you put TL rims on a TSX. It's because the stock rims are butttttt-ugly man. And the fittament is perfect for ride height etc..... If you rock out with 235/40/18 it's as close to stock as you can get. I think it's 0.2" lower than stock, so it's better handling/looks without compromise. Cost $895/RIM in Canada, but that didnt include the 450/tire for low pro Pirelli's. WORTH EVERY PENNY!!!!!!!
