It looks good, but you need a grille more than ever now. VIS also makes a CF Mugen style grille. That would look hot on your ride.

JKV or PIJR,

How much is this hood and where could you buy it online? Also, how about additional ViS products (loxllxol too)?

ah your car looks fucking dope. i love it over all. are those 18 or 19 inch rims?

the only carbon fibre hood ive seen in Calgary was on a red car, and the carbon pattern was such large weave that it made me want to puke. yours looks GREAT tho

may have been the same company, but without reattaching taht silver piece on the front, the front end looks really goofy in the light. i just didnt like where the hood started to curve.
anyways. great stuff. and im interested in the cost as well

It looks damn nice, really compliments the wheels. Only part I really don't like is the front piece of the hood that you have to use the stock trim. If it was all one piece, it would look so awesome.
Either way, nice SSM.

Looks goot but I think you need to lose the silver trim on your hood and go with a Mugen grill...other then that the car is hot

Personally I like the body colored trim on the end like the Feel's CF Hood. The Phase w/o the trim does look cleaner though.

From eyeing it out for the longest time after installing it there's more of a slight difference on the left side right above the headlights unlike the right side.. my homies and I adjusted it quite a few times and came out to the same result. The sides are pretty even though so I aint trippen about it. Hope this helps..

no matter how much people dont like that stock piece on the front, if you take it off youll regret it. i think it looks fine, wihtout it is terrible, as ive stated. other hoods just go to a nice edge there, but that one is designed to keep the silver peice, no problems

Hey JKV808TSX, it looked great! U should get Mugen front grill and JDM hood trim, it will looks hot! I wonder if you are satisfield with TSW wheel? Becuz I like those hyperblack wheel. Vwong said that TSW is not good quality wheel that he had experience on his 90' prelude and had trouble with bump from the road caused damage on his all 4 wheels. I spoke to customer at Special Effect Performance and asked him if that wheel is good quality. He said that wheel is good quality and have been long time on TSW company and he also said that if small wheel can caused damage from bump the road.

I absolutely LOVE CF Hoods on any color other than Black. Are those wheels the TSW Volcanos? If not, what are they? And where did you get those? I really love that look and would be very interested in knowing where you got the silver ones. I only see the Hyper Black being sold online. Please let me know, thanks!

JKV: The hood looks damn awesome! I personally like the stock trim piece since I also like the stock Acura grill.

A few questions, though... does the hood use all the stock mounting locations? (on ViS's site, it says hood pins are required) Also, is the underside carbon fiber also, or is it fiberglass with a steel subframe? Any idea of the weight compared to stock? Thanks.

Yep, those are the TSW Volcanos ..but those arent the silver ones, those are hyperblack. I guess the lighting threw that picture off ..sorry. Got them from Radmotorsports here in Hawaii.

Thanks man, everything was in stock place except for the trim. The silver trim peice has originally 4 screws but on the ViS there's only 2 sites. the CF hood is daaammn lighter than the stock... im guessing no more than 15lbs?

Really??? I guess the Hyper Black might be the one then! The guy at Tire Trends told me that the offset was +45mm. Is that what yours is? Just want to make sure before taking the plunge.

One more question. What's your offset again? Is it 42mm? I just checked the TSW website and it says that the Volcanos are only in the 40mm offset? And I also had emailed Tire Trends and they said that the offset is 45mm? So I don't know who to believe? Would they have multiple offsets?

Damn, so you can fit 19s with a 40mm offset huh. You must be flush with the fenders. So I'm wondering if the Tire Trend Rep was lying to me or not. Damn it, I really like those rims and they're affordable, but I really want to keep the offset to 45 or above and maybe 42...but 40 seems too low.

What does that mean exactly? You can't use the stock trim or use the JDM body colored trim? That would be a deal breaker for me.

what??? Im talkin about the silver piece on the hood. There's 4 holes on the stock hood to screw in the silver trim.. as for the ViS, there's only 2.

ok, what did you use for the trim since it has less holes. did you trim 2 off the stock one?

The trim doesnt have less holes. The ViS has less holes. There are 4 screws on the trim. I only used two because only 2 can be used on the ViS.

i gotcha, its been a while since I put my trim on. I was thinking the trim had pegs that went into hood, but the trim just has screw holes that attach through the hood.

WOW, thanks JKV808TSX. The fitment of that carbon fiber hood is one of the bests I have ever seen. Now another question is does anyone make a carbon fiber hood trim to match it.

Another round of flixs with the newly installed ViS CF Hood. Saturday morning was stormin like krazee.... thank goodness the rain cleared up by mid-afternoon. A bunch of us homies were bored ...decided to hit up the straight way on Lagoon Drive near the runway strip of Honolulu Int. Airport. We got a few video clips of us gunning it down the straight way but I have no clue where I could upload it for free.. sucks.. So yeah, ..here's the flixs.. Enjoy!..
