Pics of my Mugen Rear Spoiler & Kosei Rims

I finally got a Mugen rear spoiler installed and it looks better than I even expected. The Yokohama Avids helped handling but I didn't sacrifice any ride quality, noise or wet handling. The Kosei rims are lightweight (14.1 lbs) and they shaved a couple tenths off my quarter mile according to my GTechPro. Everything's gone in the right direction and I haven't sacrificed any of the other things I really liked about the car. Now if I could find a supercharger I'd be in heaven. CMF is trying to set up a meet in Austin sometime in June. You should try to make it out!

nice. I really like the wheels, are the 17"? You need some red lugs to complement the valve stems. Very slick looking overall.

Yea, I got the PM on that. I might be able to, but couldn't commit to it now cause work is getting a bit busy and I'm not sure if I'll have that weekend open.

Yea, they're 17's. I didn't want to go up in size and sacrifice some ride quality and have heavier rims.

Yea, I'm also thinking seriously about that. Maybe the Comptech because it's not a radical drop and so I hear the ride doesn't suffer. That may be a good reason to do the Texas meet in June so I can check out the ride quality in someone else's dropped TSX.

Awesome pics...nice wheels.
How much did the SmarTire system run you? Was installation/wiring difficult?

I got the SmarTire a couple years ago from TheTireRack. I don't remember the price, but I got it on their website. Installation was as easy as finding a power to tap in to. It cost me $60 to have the sensors installed on the rims. Just make sure the shop installing the sensors understand how to do it or they can damage the sensor.

I am willing to bet the spoiler cost as much as a set of those wheels. Yay.

It was ~$560 from KingMotorSports, delivered. It comes unpainted, so I paid an additional $260 for painting and installation. That is a bit high, but if you went to a dealer and asked for the stock wing, you'd pay about $750. Besides, it is a very unique item that I think is worth the price. I think the construction was excellent and I don't think I'll ever have any problems with it.

I would normally have installed it myself and saved $80, but the instructions were in Japanese and because the sides of the spoiler hang past the edge of the trunk, if you're off by 1/4 inch, the spoiler will rub. I didn't want to take the risk myself and would rather have someone to blame if it didn't go right.

Almost, but not quite. Wheels were $200/rim plus rubber.

I had the fog covers and mud guards (6 pieces) all painted at the same time for $120.
