Pics at Comptech USA - 05/06 SC Info - 14 Pics - 56K Warning!

I dropped my car off this morning at Comptech USA in El Dorado Hills to get the Supercharger for my 5AT. Since I was the first Auto TSX that they had ever seen, they needed to take a look at the engine to make sure there wasn't anything related to the transmission that would prevent the kit for the 6MT from fitting. After the first inspection of the engine, he said everything looked like it would fit fine. This is great news for all of us 5AT owners Hopefully everything will work out!

I know that there are 2005/2006 owners who wanted me to ask about the Supercharger for their models. In talking to Billy at Comptech, it sounded like it basically comes down to how to do the engine management. They are working closely with Hondata nowadays to crack the DBW systems, so whenever you hear news about a reflash for the 05/06, then a S/C should be following soon. At this point they don't seem to know what the timeframe will be though.

Anyways, the guys were really cool over there and let me take some pics. They have a very professional and clean shop. I wish I would have gotten more pics of the machine shop. Oh well, maybe next time.

My TSX right before they pulled it in.

Yeah I felt like a tourist taking all of those pics...haha. Everyone was really cool though. I asked them a lot of questions and took a look at the kit they were going to install. I got my rims from Cmf, but I think he said they run about $500 each new. I'm definitely going to hold on to mine though

Your welcome for the pics everyone. I'm glad you guys are enjoying them

So, if and when the DBW is cracked, what would that mean for us in terms of performance?

Sorry for the

Sweet pics though. I'm interested to hear the results of the SC upgrade. Hopefully all that extra power won't cause any driveline problems.

Since I have the mod on my TSX, I actually told them about it.
I think they already knew what it was though.

Talked to Nate at Comptech and they are looking for 05 AT & MT's for the future. They don't need these vehicles right away, but would like to line everything so that they will have them right away when the time comes. The engine management is still not ready for 2005, but you might want to jump on this guys so you can be the Comptech vehicle when it's ready.

Here's what they need:
2005 TSX Auto
2005 TSX Manual

2004-2006 TL Auto
2004-2006 TL Manual
2003-2006 Accord Auto
2003-2006 Accord Manual

They don't need these vehicles for Superchargers necessarily, some of the vehicles are going to be used to fit prototype parts on.

For the 05 owners, it would mean the same performance gain as the 04 Supercharger. They would probably use the same tuning for both models since the engines are identical. On Sho-one's TSX, CGTSX2004 calculated it to be 287 hp at the crank and 222 lb-ft torque. I should have the same HP at the crank, but less at the wheels since I have an Auto transmission. I guess the 5 lb. boost that the SC is running is suppose to be moderate, so hopefully everything else will hold up fine :crossfingers:

The blower itself has it's own oil and they said it would prob require change at 50km, my coolant was a little low when I got it back so I had to add some of that. Ad far as changing any fluids I doubt it.
