Painted intake manifold cover
So I had a large gash in my intake manifold cover (long story) so I was deciding between getting a new one ($50) or patching and painting it. I went w/ painting, since at worst I could just buy a new one afterwards.
Decided on flat black since the texture kind of matches the JDM valve cover, and it turned on pretty well. It took much more time than I expected to get a nice even coat on it since its a pretty strange shape. I taped off the iVtec part w/ painters tape , primered, wet sanded, painted, wet sanded etc. I didn't clear coat it because I was afraid it would be too shiny, but I'm not sure how it'll hold up against moisture and engine debris. If it gets messed up, I'll just do it again.

i reckon the spark plug cover in the OEM black would match it perfectly with the new painted mani cover,
