This is our 2nd vehicle which gets driven almost every day. It's technically my wife's, but she steals my TSX so often that I'm stuck with it. I don't mind, this has been a tremendous Jeep that has earned my respect time and time again.
Original engine, that has not been rebuilt. Original exhaust and muffler are still on it and working fine. I believe even the transmission is original, though I can't say with 100% certainty on that. Even now, I'm ready to load it up and go cross country if I need to.
I really hope I can achieve that, and greater, with my TSX. I have switched to Castrol GTX oil which is all I've ever used in the Jeep.
Have a good day.

I don't doubt it. My mother had an old Jeep that became unusable at about 230,000 miles, but that was due to a snapped axle. the engine was still running fine.
good luck making it to 400,000

It's a 1996 Jeep Cherokee Country with 4.0 liter straight 6 cylinder. Automatic tranny.
We taken on quite a few trips over the years. My parents live in AR and hers in IL. Plus, we have an 80 mile daily commute to go to work or to school.

Consider yourself one of the luckiest people on this planet! I wouldn't drive a cheep if you paid me (unless it was an old school CJ type). I will infact give it a "little" respect for the mileage (I would bet my life saving your training has been replaced at least once or twice). And "little" respect is all it gets. But congrats on it none the less!

I will say again, this has been an awesome vehicle. Will continue to be from the looks of things. We never have to top-up the oil in between changes, although a think a very minor leak has begun somewhere. We don't even baby this thing. As I have to drive on Dallas International Speedway to get to work, 75-80mph is my common running speed. Hey, it's speed or be killed out there.

It was around $500 to replace the radiator, I had a friend do the water pump for around $125. There were brakes, timing belt (might be time to do that again) and some other minor things. I dunno, between $2000-$3000 maybe.
I hope that my little tribute to our Jeep goes unnoticed by the keepers of Murphy's Law. I'd hate for things to start suddenly going south on this thing.
Thanks for all the kind words

Still Lovin my 06
I got into an accident in a 1989 Jeep Cherokee Laredo back in 98, the car rolled 2.5 times, landed on it's roof. I didn't even have a scratch on my body. i miss the classic jeep, i'd own one any day

I have a 92 Cherokee with 221k. mine is all original shocks, exhaust, tranny fluid....EVERYTHING. TUne up and oil changes along with brakes are all she has gotten. I beat the living shit out of it and she loves it. only thing that dont work is AC but should wourl flawlessly if recharged(changed seized compressor and didnt recharge)
Yours is alot prettier than mine as mine has cancer and i liek to hit things with it.
