New Webpage complete

Been working on a new website for the past two weeks and finally finished up most of it for now. http://68.45.192.205/index.html

Please excuse the slow connection as I have not decided on a domain name yet so it is currently just being hosted from home.

It is best viewed in any browser but IE. It still works in IE6 or before but there are two very minor visual errors that come up only in IE6 or before.

Let me all know what you think just looking for a little feedback.

And yes it has to do something with a TSX to be able to be posted here and half the automotive pictures are of a TSX.

You've got a talent Jason.

I still can't get over that motion shot that you took...it's amazing.

It could use some cleanup via Photoshop or Illustrator but you're on the right track. The integration of Simpleviewer is done pretty well so that looks good. Other than the 1995 feel of some of the web design visuals, good job.

got any specifics of what could be improved and any examples of what would give it a more modern feel. Also what needs cleaned up in photoshop. appreciate any help you can give.

Let me first ask what kind of look are you going for? Web 2.0-esque? Barebones? It really all just depends before I can give some solid advice. However, some things to make quick improvements to what you have already would be the following:

Colors: the light blue and gray background do not mix well with the black border. They all seem to clash together for a very unclean feel.

Borders: the rough cut looking borders are what made me whip out the 1995 look comment. Something about them just doesn't fit the rest of the overall theme.

Fonts: your fonts tend to be on the larger, bold side. Now, that's ok if depending on your audience but if you can get away with smaller, crisper fonts, go for it.

Let me know if I can help more once you give me feedback on what look you're going for. You may remember that I redesigned the "other" TSX site so that will give you some idea of what kind of work I like and design on my own. I've also designed the following as well:

www.vip-culture.com
www.tndubs.com
www.ypknox.com

Basically I want something that is eye catching yet shows off my work of photography more than the web design cause at this point that is what I am trying to show off when people want to see some of my work.

Some of the sites that I like and you can find some aspects of the sites in my site are
http://clintdavis.net/home.htm
http://www.devinlefevere.net/
http://www.mackeydesigns.com/main.html
http://www.arminausejo.com/portfolio.html

I like Knox's website designs. They look more professional and modern.

Here's what a guy I know from VIP-Culture produced for his own portfolio. This is what I would call good web design for photography portfolio layouts. It's clean, crisp yet puts the focus on his work. Some of the sites you posted are really busy and detract away from the work itself that's being displayed. Let me know what you think:
