New member from NC saying hello!

Picked up this beauty last year. She’s a 6MT, W/Nav. So far I’ve added the Aspec lips kit, CAI, TL wheels and Bluetooth. Hoping to drop her down soon along with some other suspension goodies as she will probably see some occasional track weekends and at the very least some very spirited driving, add header, RBC intake manifold and throttle body, and possibly a different set of wheels. She’s a DD and I absolutely love her so far. Wanted one for a long time. Previous cars include ‘84 prelude, ‘90 CRX Si, ‘97 GSR Teg, and an ‘04 RSX typeS.
Anyway, love the forum so far, don’t know why I haven’t joined until now. Hope y’all like my baby!

Looks great man! Clean too!

Get the TL Type S rear sway bar. You'll love the difference in handling. I just got rid of my 04 TSX last year. It was nice and sporty. Had an Injen CAI at one point. Loved it.

Thanks! Yours was clean too, I like. Does the TL rear sway bolt right up? any modification needed? I'm assuming its thicker so the bushings and brackets are probably needed, eh? Was thinking of getting the Progress rear adjustable bar.

Looks like a great purchase! These cars are such good daily drivers. Reliable, comfortable, economical but they can still put a smile on your face every time you drive them! Looking forward to seeing your progress.

Thanks! Totally agree with all you said dontibbetts. Not as quick as my RSX was but will be soon enough, and then some. Going to do the re-flash as well as the other stuff.

Dropped on Func/Form Type Ones. Best to go with some Tein Basis or Megan Racing coils. The Type Ones were a little too stiff.

The Type S RSB is a direct bolt on too. About the same size as the Progress RSB. The Type S RSB only cost like $75 tho. I'd swap out the bushings and brackets while you're back there. That's what I did.

Type S RSB requires you to cut off one of the welded exhaust hanger hooks. Its not used on USDM cars...so, shouldn't be an issue. Just repair the paint with undercoat spray and epoxy or something.

I am currently running a TL-S bar on my 06 TSX. I got OEM TL-S D brackets and bushings. That's all it took.

To lower it between 1 and 1.5", Tein Street Advance works really well. Just don't use the Tein recommended damper settings. You'll need to use a much "harder" shock setting if you want the car to be comfortable. I've installed and used a bunch of SA systems. Solid overall. Rides as well/better than stock in 95% of scenarios.

Or...since you don't live in the rust belt, use a better system like H&R Street Performance or Koni/GC. **As long as you only plan to drop the car 1" or 1.25" or so.

I didn't have to do that at all on my 04. Just bolted up.

If he's only going to lower it 1-1.5in, no need in buying an entire coilover set up. Tien lowering springs would work best for that. Or even Eibach lowering springs. Full coils are more for a 2in or lower drop.
