The metalic trim has always been avaliable. It's an option even for 04-06

I thought about getting that trim but it seems a bit pricy, 300-400 bucks is a bit much for that little area it covers i think. Nothing against those that have it however

Pics of your car with a good view of your tint would be great to! I'm considering 35% all the way around on my CGP and am wondering how it will look.

Great looking car DAMNIT!!!!!!

That head on pic of the front end really shows nice; I agree on the rims - lovely.

I've really come to like the A-Spec wheels. Saw them in person, and I love the finish. Just wish they were lighter. Pics don't do them justice.

And dude, I just went to check, they are taped on haha too bad all their Acura's have it done...my parent's have a TL and an MDX from the same place with the same trims. But yea I'm not too bothered by it, I still love my car =)
If it was cloudy, the tint would actually look darker than it actually was. So that is making me wonder if it's even a 35% since i've got a 35% and it looks a bit darker than yours even in the sunlight.

I've got the madico Charcool 35% tint and i think it looks PERFECT! Not too dark that you can't see inside. But still dark enough so that you can only make out a little bit of what's inside on a not so sunny day.

Hm... i was going to wait until my OEM bodykit got on Thurs and install it before i took pics. But oh well... i guess i can snap some pics earlier for a fellow member.

It will probably have to wait until tomorrow though. i turned on my digital camera and the thing just died. I will have to charge it up tonight. Just remind me if i dont have pics up by tomorrow night.

You aren't going to actualyl take the pic over to the dealer are you? haha
Cause you know they are going to deny it. It would be pretty funny though.

Truth be told though, i have seen some variations between different tint brands though. I've got the Madico brand tint. According to a few tinters, it's supposidely one of the thickest and best films that are out there. The place i got mine tinted at also sold an "in house" brand called Advantage. When i help the two up side by side there was quite a noticeable different in the shade of the tint. I did find that strange how 35% between the two brands were actually quite a bit different. The 35% on the madico actually was identical to the naked eye on the 30% on the advantage. So that was kind of strange. But in my opinion though... your tint is quite a bit lighter than mine. The place i tinted mine at had a waiting room with a viewing glass. I saw them put 35% on there and that's what's listed on the receipt as well. So that's why i'm so sure that mine is 35%. I also saw a dude's car that was done before mine and it was 20% (the next step darker) and it was much darker than mine.

Anyways... i'll be posting pics tomorrow.

Haha no I just wanna see what a 35% looks like so that when I go into the dealer (which I hafta anyways) I'll ask why my tint is so light compared to others. Although I think it would be quite amusing to get a bunch of different TSX pictures from this forum and show it to the dealership. Haha

But yah thx for the info and a pre-thx for the pics...haha and I hope to see the car with the OEM kit too.

My goodness. Is there that much silver in the 06s? Tell me that is an option.

Enjoy the ride.

I think it's an option. That same option is available for the 04's and 05's as well.

haha, i mean... if you want to show them... that's fine with me. But i think they are just going to make excuses. They could always say that's it's the lighting? Even though i've got pics form 3 different angles. You could give it a shot.

On the other hand, if you are satisfied with the darkness of the tint, then i say just let it be.

haha I prolly won't show them the pics but I'm going to mention it...I would rather want my tint to be a little darker than it is right now...I dunno what they'll do cause I hear re-tinting can damage the back window's defrosters?

Yea... cause even my 35%'s are a tad bit darker than that and i actually think it's perfect. You can see through it if you try really hard but at first glance when it's partly cloudy out, it looks darker. My ebony interior helps with that too.

But uh... update? What did they say?
It may be a brand variation between brands too. I mean... mine's the madico brand. I saw a color swatch and the "advantage" brand that the place i went to also carried was quite a bit lighter for some reason.

Any gaps on the body kit?

Are your ground effects/body kit flush to the car's body? Some of us '06 TSX owners on the board have gaps on the ones that are on the bumper.

https://acurazine.com/forums/showthread.php?t=29380

Let us know.

Thanks
