New Guy New Car~ hi?

Hi
I'm new to these forums and all and I just got a new 2006 CG TSX with ebony interior. I already had the dealer install a few addons like OEM underbody kit, 17 in wheels, Tint, OEM metal trim interior. I'm looking to do some other stuff to it in the future but until then hope you enjoy~

Nice car and welcome. Be sure to fill out your "signature" page under your "your account" page. Also remember to fill in your profile.

By the way, what % tint is that? That looks VERY light.

i think to protect from dings? I dunno...

Im really not too knowledgeable in car stuff yet, I mean I know the basics but I'm just starting to get involved in learning about cars. With the help of some friends, I hope to learn and make it a hobby but yea as for now...I'm still a rookie.

Like what huckleberry said I dunno how that works...i just got the parts installed haha. Forgive me if I say something stupid or wrong =)

yea
Signature = year, model, nav/non-navi, color, trannsmission type, and any other mods you want to list.

Are you sure that's a 30%? Not sure if it's the pics. It just looks a little light for a 30%. Looks more like a 35%.

Well.. before you just go ripping them off like a bandaid or something, find out how they are on there. Chances are, they are just pushed onto there. Go outside and look.

I think the dealer said 30% but you might be right...my friend thinks they are pretty light too, but then again it was a cloudy day today so maybe that's why? I dunno...

And dude, I just went to check, they are taped on haha too bad all their Acura's have it done...my parent's have a TL and an MDX from the same place with the same trims. But yea I'm not too bothered by it, I still love my car =)

man don't DIY if you're car n00b !!!
just take back to dealer let them do it,
heck the money you forked over is still warm !

It aint Lexus but you still deserve some service.

psh I know...haha I wasn't really gonna just rip at it or I would have already.

I guess if ppl think its that horrendous I'll just tell the service center at dealer to remove it when I go in for a detail that they still owe me. But won't the tape leave some residue?

I'm not a fan of the trims myself but I couldn't help it it came with the car. Like I said AofC already puts it on their cars and this was the only CG with black left at the dealership and I couldn't wait for my car.

It is not bad looking, but I don't like OEM kit. Body kit doesnt look more flow and aggressive looks. I think 04-05 looks best with all kits. 06 looked good with Mugen or Euro R kit.

Haha I agree the OEM doesn't flow as well and the mugen kit definitely looks a lot better. But I needed a car (I couldn't wait for a couple months) and it was already built up and it looks pretty nice so its a start. Now I'm looking at all y'all nice cars and I'm forming a plan to do something to my baby. But first I need cash haha...until then this will more than do =)

^ So that's why. It's a good start though, don't let all the critism bring you down, but i still like the 1st gen TSX oem lip kits better, but maybe it's a trend that lip kits should look like that~

I like the kit, tint, and love the wheels. Can you take a straight on side shot to give an idea of what the tint looks like and then maybe an interior shot of the metal trim kit? Keep em' coming...

Nice car- don't let the trim comments bring your new car euphoria down (just be happy the trim doesn't show up on your color that much).

Haha...actually, when they sold me my car it already had the fender and door protection package. It's just held on my a double sided tape material. You slide the trim over the fender so that it kind of locks into place. It's really easy to take off. You just pull it off really slowly.

Anyways, I took mine off and sold it for $80 on Ebay! Then I used that money to go towards my intake

They also gave me mudflaps too with my car. BTW, does anyone want to buy them?

REALLY
So If I slowly peel it off, the tape will just come right off? Will it leave a residue? Haha and I can get hopefully get 80 bucks YES!

And I'm cool with the criticism =) no worries I'm a noob, its good to hear people be honest and say what looks good and what looks bad, as long as it isnt a personal shot against me =P. I do believe the OEM kit looks pretty good, but my favorite part of the car is the metal trim steering wheel and the rims thx for the compliment dom.

I love my TSX and acuras in general so I'm still in euphoria. And its a chick magnet...every girl I kno so far has loved it. HAHA

As for some interior pics here ya go

I'll try to get a straight on side shot soon.

and I gotta learn how to take pictures better

Yeah you just peal it off very slowly. Just try one of the lower corners of a rear door first. It might leave a small residue, but nothing that you can't easily remove.

That's a good attitude to have man
You're actually not too far away from me. I go to Berkeley sometimes. Hittin' up Top Dog on the late night is the sh*t!

Now you need to upgrade the Rear Sway Bar and you're off to a good start. Best bang for the buck mode.

HAHA thx for the advice...I'm actually looking to get a Rear Sway Bar along with possibly an M3 Deck lid soon.

Also I'd post more pics but stupid rain has been going off and on up in Norcal making my baby dirty even after washing her everytime. I've washed the car 6 times in the past two weeks haha although some were quickies...

Yeah it's been a never ending rain fest here in Sac too, also my TSX gets parked in an unpaved gravel/silty area so with the rain and the dust from the area, my TSX is extremely dirty.

But yeah you car looks good, so the metallic trim in the center is new for '06 or is that an aftermarket kit you bought?
