hmm should paint that top part black. looks weird with the blue. even if you get teh hood trim piece it will look like a big gap in there. someone else did the same thing you did but with white. i think it looks better with it being painted black.

check out this thread:

they have pictures of it done both ways.

http://www.clubtsx.com/bbs/showthread.php?t=5584

looks good though! i might be getting one soon.

hey accsuperstar, do you know what piece is not needed for a euro r grill? i've read a bunch of threads, and some say you have to remove a piece and buy a new bottom piece to get the euro r grill to fit? do you have any idea what to do???

and stoke, your grill is nice...any future plans?

if you want to do it by yourself, carefully mask the surrouding pieces with masking tape and paint it with plastic spray paint for a quick fix. or pay some bodyshop to do it.

I always liked that grill and plan on getting it eventually, but damm is it really that much of a pain to put on? And you have to do alot of cutting??
Thats a turn off for me
I was hoping simple replacement.

no i think they paineted that part black...u dont have to cut the grill to get it to fit. it ust really is a pain though u cant bolt the bottom part down u have to use zip ties to get it secured on the bottom....after u snap it in place. if u want the radiator cover on the car then yes u will have some cutting to do

Does the top piece that isn't supposed to be painted attach to something or is it just there?

If there wasnt such a big gap that little cut out in the grille would look kinda tight. But that is if the grille was flush with the hood.

If its painted black is that part really not seen. Because if it is cant you just get the grill from phase, its basically the same thing but doesnt have the mugen logo. I think its about 220.

yea phase grill is basically the same thing but without that piece. the top of part of the mugen grill is supposed to be black so that you cannot see a gap. there are pictures of it done correctly and they are fine. i have a couple on my computer if only i wasnt on 56k here at home i would upload them ( i hate the hassles of aol - error this error that )

funny coincidence, my friend is working on the update for this site... http://www.liquid-pxl.com/development/passlimit/

he said he'll talk to the owner and see if he can set up a group buy for the phase grill if enough ppl are interested?

EDIT: I just set up a groupbuy thread http://www.acura-tsx.com/forums/show...&threadid=5375

I believe you can leave the radiator cover off and that would solve the cutting problem.

that phase one definately looks sweet. in my opinion it is the cleanest looking one of the bunch. if i get a grill i want it to blend with the car not stand out like a sore thumb!

i wasn't implying that the mugen one stands out like a sore thumb. just stating that basically whenever i put on any type of aftermarket part i like to make sure it flows with the rest of the call. the mugen one is nice too bro, congrats.

wow, im surprised to hear that the exchange rate changed that much. its been pretty stable... 1.06~ yen : 1 dollar.

you made some japanese dude 80 bucks richer.

anywho, doesn't anybody else think the mugen/phase grille with stock chrome hood trim resemble the 6? "the chrome milk mustache"?

if not, i guess it's time for me to lay off the doobie...

no need to blame it on the doobie... as snoop dogg says "take two and pass it, it will not burn you, from the long beach chronicles, to the wall street journal"
