Question mugen bodykit vs OEM bodykit

Hey people

I am planning to get a bodykit for my silver TSX. I am thinking of a mugen bodykit, but it's really really expensive. I am wondering.... what's the difference between the mugen side skirts and rear and the OEM ones. I know that the front lip looks totally different, but the side and rear, i can't really find out the differences. BIG DIFFERENCE IN $$$$$ tho.... Anyone knows????

the mugen side is more aggressive. there are 2 parts that "flare" out insterad of one on the oem side skirt. not too sure how to describe it. the rear is lower on the mugen

Go Euro-R side skirts. That would be different...then again so is the mugen

it might work for the side skirt, but once you look at the side profile of your car the ass will look alot higher

i think the oem is pretty dang good for now. i wouldnt look into upgrading until sometime in the future. its really up to what you plan on doing and your situation: personal pref, income, etc.

Thanks
link

I have some pics of all the body kits in my gallery .

I don't know if the Mugen lip will work w/ the OEM, but I think it looks pretty good w/ the Euro-R side and back.

To dondon:
IMO, They are totally different style. As accsuperstar said, Mugen side is more aggressive. Just Save your money & go for the Full Mugen Kits.

OEM Kit (borrow from I-MOD)

There's the Feel's JDM one.

The 2nd JDM Honda Modulo Urban body kit

Phase only kinda counts they only make a bumper, grill and lip spoiler.

Value Sports had a show one, but I've never seen it sold anywhere or on any other cars.

Prodrive also had a show one, and lists it on their website as a TBA release. Was ugly as sin though.

Kit should be available soon. Vizage lists it for 690.00 Sounds pretty cheap! I always thought their products were more expensive and of good quality though.

my opinion...save up a little and get something diff from OEM, OEM kit looks sharp no doubt, but there are just too many of them out there, esp in my area...haha^^

wow that OEM kit looks pretty good! I haven't seen it in person though.

The mugen one looks kinda ricey. bleh.

edit - wow, who completely screwed up a TSX? http://gallery.bussert.dyndns.org/tsxbody/euro_accord4

LOL!

dabuda - yours looks great! Is that stock suspension or are you dropped at all?

I kinda like Inspirs idea...Phase front bumper,euro-R sides and bumper.. clean and simple

Is the Phase front bumper 1500 if is, Is there anywhere else where you can get it cheaper

you wont think Mugen makes "ricey" kits if you see the kit in person (plus they are made for aero-dynamics purpose)
i've seen Mugen full bodykit on both TSX and RSX, they are

just my opinion

As functional as the mugen front bumper is w/ holes in the sides to cool the rotors I'm guessing? Its still way ugly.

I like the rest, I think a Mugen front lip w/ the rest would be very cool.

1 thing I dislike about the Phase front bumper, it takes away any luxury look for the TSX. Looks too race/sporty for the car IMO.

IMO i think the mugen front lip is pretty good. sporty but not too much. I think that the mugen front bumper is too much.

I agree...Im just going to wait a while see what pops up for the TSX as far as bodykits..IMO everybody either going to do the mugen kit or Euro-R so im just going to wait a while. But if i had to pick one now ill probly purchase the Euro-R kit.

For me, I will probably pick the mugen kit. The JDM and mugen kti are around the same price, so it's really quite hard to decide. IMO

uh, how do you figure, the Euro-R is about $1200 and the Mugen about $1700. w/ the Mugen bumper it'd be about $2500.

*edit* this is USD

Exactly !!!!! How can you get that calculated? Did you do some search before or makes up with currency exchange?
also I don't think the Mugen Kits come pre-painted (Not really sure). That's even cost you more $.
