maven shift knob + tl wheels

so I finally found a good set of tl wheels and installed my maven mark 1 shift knob.

the tires are the oem michelin crap tires, same as stock on the tsx. 235/45/17. my car is not lowered. I like the way they look. they barely stick out from the fenders. no rubbing issues what-so-ever.

ps. yes I know my car is durty, we finally got a couple day break from the rain. I'm only about 20 minutes from some of the heavy flooding here in missouri.

I'm not a fan of the knob....it looks good, but it would be too hot to the touch in SoCal summers.

The TL wheels- at first I didn't like them....until I saw them in person. Pictures don't do those wheels justice. They look really nice on a TSX.

I'm curious to see how it does once it breaks 100. it was 85 today and it's was a little warm. which isn't that bad, especially for being in direct sunlight.

I had to get rid of the oem wheels, I hated them. I had to find a set that I liked that I could user all year round. meaning I have to be able to use them in the snow/ice/salt conditions. I just don't like the idea of spending money on wheels I can only use for 5-6 months a year.

I understand your pain, I can't stand the OEM wheels they put on the TSX either, especially for the 06-07. I am getting some TL wheels next week so I will post pictures up when I put them on. My car is lowered too so I am predicting a really good turnout .

The TL wheels look pretty good, though I don't feel like they work nearly as well on such a bright color as they do on the darker colors.

Love the shift knob though. And do not worry too much about the heat. I have the skunk2 all metal shift knob and even with the recent spate of hot weather, it has yet to get to the point where I cannot touch it with my bare hands.

When my ITR shift knob (on my old Integra) got hot, like too hot to touch, i would throw it in the automatic ice maker for 3 seconds and it was cold again, sometimes if I was at work or somewhere I would unscrew it and take it with me, just some suggestions.

Oh and the TL wheels are out of control, I really really want to put them on my CL_S, if you don't mind, how much did they run you?

The knob looks great (of course ) and I really like the TL wheels on the TSX. I'm sure you'll confuse a few people now.

I bought them locally for 600 (wheels and tires). I found out my boss took them off of his TL when he bought to put the a-spec wheels on. I feel I got an excellent deal because they had less than 2000 miles on them.

I prefer the look of a knob that doesn't have any numbers on it. I really like when auto people ask me how I know which gear is which since I don't have the numbers on the knob.

I usually respond I hope I can remember
