Keep wheels or trade for chrome?

Well, I kinda want to go for a more luxurious bling look to my car. Ever since I got a bike, I don't really want the majority of the look of my car to be sporty (which I believe it looks now), I want it to be more of a bling bling look to it (I know alot of people are against it, but that's my preference). So do you think I should try to trade these wheels for some chrome ones?

<knock on wood> They're in perfect condition. Pretty much looks brand new, but I just changed them out for stocks for the winter season.

I am very surprised with the durability of the TSWs. People said they weren't that strong for a build, but I've gone thru train tracks, potholes, etc... accidentally of course and they've held up great. My car is lowered as well, but I think that's because I have aftermarket suspension and not just lowering springs.

I have something in mind, but I don't think you guys will like it, so I'll keep it to myself for now. Lets just say that it'd give this japanese car a little euro in it (Not Euro R style if you were thinking that)

Yes, I did install it on my own. I could probably help you out. Saturdays are bad though, Sundays would be better. If you do, do this when I can't do it, you can borrow my Helms Manual if you want. The suspension install guide on this site is pretty good though and you really don't need the manual.

Hey Wil, I too am a lover of bling and think your car would look great with some chrome wheels. TSW Catalunyas in chrome were my 2nd choice when I was getting rims. And even living around here my chrome isn't that big of a PITA to deal with, so I think you'd be all set

I think I should be around. I'll have to double check my calendar at work first though.

One thought came to mind. If your bolts are seized, I'm going to be no help. I don't really do the hacksaw job.

Way too much money for my liking. I only would want to spend another $500 if I did go forward with this.

More spokes and deeper dish will definitely give your car a more luxurious look. Look around and post pictures up here, we'll give you all the suggestions

Keep in mind, rims with a lip tend to look smaller than they are, unless you're getting 19s or 20s they aren't going to look much bigger. I've always held larger wheels in the luxury category.

Wil did you have any rims in mind so far?

I'm thinking I should never of posted this thread because in actuality, if I like something, I'm just going to get it and only slightly consider what people say.

I do like the multi spokes suggestion by KC, but I'm still a fan of chrome.

If people have suggestions for possible chrome rims, shoot them my way, thanks guys!

Wil... if you get chromes, IMO, make sure you don't get any spokes that are too "thin"... they'll really draw attention to our smaller brake discs. If you go multi-spoke, you should be ok, as long as the spacing isn't too far apart. I went through (and maybe still am going through) the same dilemma. I know I'll never be tracking my car so...

I think chromes only look right on black and white cars... I say go for it. I like Rondy's latest forged 1pc Devotion wheel, but it'll set you back $550 per not incl. tires for 18's...

And if you like the multi-spoke (split-spoke) look, how about 18" ASA AR1's in chrome?

Why would you advise not to get ASA? I was actually thinking of a particular ASA set of rims...

Such as the ST4's a la Benzo style for that "euro" flavor?

I've seen them on a MSM TSX... looked pretty good, although he had silver, not the chrome ones:

http://homepage.mac.com/kelsharif/PhotoAlbum41.html

Personally, I think ASA is a quality wheel... so what if it's Korean? If BBS was ok with licensing them their technology at one time, they must be at least decent. One thing that most people don't know is that ASA makes forged wheels too, but they had an agreement with BBS to not sell them in certain markets...

IF I ever were to do chrome type bling rims, they would probably be RonJons I guess. I think they have a good mix of tuner and bling to them...

That's right, you better recognize! LOL.

I do like to take credit that I was the second person to get these rims for my TSX. J in Hawaii was the first I believe or at least who posted in this forum and the other tsx forum.

Howabout these, in 18", they look larger than deep dish and are a good blend of luxury and sport:
