In Asia, Singapore. We have to import in this car as it is not a "assigned" product for the local market........ We have JDM CL7 Euro R, the JDM CL7 auto, and the CL9 2.4 200bhp.....
We do have a large group of 150 registered members and we get some parts from Japan or some DIY parts add ons....

Well, when I first got the car, I did an undercarriage inspection and observed the weaker spots of the car. The front lower strut bar basically is holding at the front end just in front of the wheels but before the front bumper, there are 2 bolts. I made an aluminium strut bar, and special DIY angled plats, so that it sits into the depression location of the bolts.
One can't see this when viedwed in front, but will see it when one look under the front bumper as it hangs down. I will see when I get some time to get some pics up. Been busy travelling all around.
The rear, is rather different. The vertical perpendicular holding plates for the rear suspensions and axle, is a weak spot as potentially it can flex. The stock sway bar is 14mm??, and it could hold back but changing to after market rear sway bar will have a less positive effect. So, what I did was to customised an angle bar, located 2 holes on the vertical plate and then tighten it down so as to increase the stiffness of the vertical plates. Something like in our rear seats, if one removes the rear seats, right in the centre, there is the stock arm bar, to strenghten and minimise left and right flexing.
I am looking for the rear upper strut bar. Nobody seems to make it and is this available in the US? I am prepared to do barter trade or buy if anyone is kind to exchange parts. Just let me know what you looking for and I will also do the same!!

U are right and I have not got round to do all these stuff. Family and my job takes me around Asia Pacific. Sometimes I am tired after the trips...
The pitch and roll (altitude??) gauges and the electronic compass are new products and I manage to get a set. Not expensive at all as I know the US made electronic compass is like US$150? That is expensive man.
Pitch and roll is simply an electronic version with a display of the angle pitch and roll which you will find this as a mechanical version on 4x4. Useful when on track to see the pitch and roll for suspension measurements before the car slides out.......muahahahaha
The electronic compass is more useful as it displays the bearings as well as date, time, interior temperature etc. Useful for me......
Will see can post pic later, so stay tune..

My model is relatively quite old, at least 5 years old and made by Mitsubishi. I have seen newer versions like what the Camry uses. There is also one version like the Mercedes type, where 2 arms slide up from both ends and raise the shade net.
Control unit is a simple up and down switch. Installation will mean the rear upper speakers may partially be covered and distort the rear speakers a little. SOlution, use the rear door for speakers but sound wise less effective. So, focus the sound from the front end and leave the rear empty......

How much have you spent on your Euro-R? Like HK owning a car in Singapore is a pain in the butt...(not to mention your mod list is quite huge too.)
I will go back to HK next year and hopefully can take a look at these beauties.

Hie,
Singaporte is one of the most expensive place to buy a car. In HK, it is the reverse, as buying is much cheaper but maintenance is much higher.
However, my experience tells me that Sing is more likely to be more expensive when all fators weighed in. I lived in HK for 4 years and I did not bother to get a car as getting around in the usual places was relatively easy and the dough I was "saving" from car depreciation, is substaintial...
I think in HK you can get the Euro R for less than HK$370,000 but you should check various places. In Sin land now, it cost about HK$460000.
My suggestion is you get a TSX and have fun for a year in Canada.....
The list of car mods can be real huge from Mugen to Toda. The bits I do is just for fun and since I do DIY for some stuff, I get to learn and source alternatives and prices. Parts in HK are not cheaper than Sin Land. However, only some parts are but is subjective......

Forget all the maintenance costs, IMO it's still way too expensive to buy a car in HK. A Camry costs $240k HKD in HK while in Canada a same 2.4 Camry costs only $180k HKD.
But damn, $460k for an Euro-R in Sing?

sigh........I have lived in a few places and I always wish cars would be cheaper in Sin Land. Sin Land is small and this car used to be HK$580000 when at peak prices.....!!!!!!!!
I had a CL1 Euro R and that cost me HK$579000 back then in 2002.
A 2.4 Camry will cost around HK$420000 here so, you could drive 2 there and the worse part is that we only get 10 years on the car before it goes.......makes it worse...
We are just slaves for the cars we drive........
