oh man I love that!!! I can wait. What kind of performance gains are you feeling with the SRI? I assume there really no down side to the SRI, as in no water being sucked in etc. Have you ran CAI with it to? is is an easy change?

Sorry if this is a repetitive question but how much has the sound changed?

I do have a question. Your Injen sticker on the 3" pipe attached to the throttle body...is that rated for engine temperatures or is it going to peel/discolor after time?

like u said...its just a sticker...ill remove it if it starts to discolor. im not worried about it leaving marks either...since the pipe is polished...its not that hard to buff it up again.

I hope you are ready to inject hot under hood air into your engine. A short ram without a heatshield around the filter will suck in incredible amount of hot air. The stock setup is more restrictive but at least it's cooler than a short ram. Also, the intake manifold is already pretty hot as it is sitting behind the the radiator fan. I would go with a CAI instead. Sure, it's more work but it's a better solution. It's a function over fashion thing...

I was planning on running CAI most of the time. But also like the fact of switching to SRI. Is the HOT air going to hurt the engine? or is it just going to create less power due to the higher temperature air?

The high temp mainly affects performance, which is counter productive of having the SRI without a heatshield. An OBD2 Honda ECU reduces fuel and retards timing when the IAT sensor detects high temp. The opposite is true when the intake temp is low.

when you have your injen setup short-ram is there enough clearance to use the injen heat shield?

here's another question: are there any gains over the stock setup if you ran the injen short-ram with a heat shield? or are you better off just leaving it stock?
