the red calipers are mostly for looks, and they defanatly stand out.

as for the cat back system, it adds some hp and tq.

still like the regular grill a bit better than just the mesh. PROJECTSX made one that is like yours but more bling chrome. i think you should paint the chrome around your grill and it might look better.

how is the catback system? any soundclips?

as far as the exchaust is, is defenatly sounds good. not ricy at all, just nice deep growl-ing.

i will try to get a shot of the cans, they are HUGE!!

Hey, we have the same grill. I agree, it does look much better in person. What type/brand of mesh did you use?

 

Just some simple diamond shaped mesh that was silver, I then painted it black *that is why it is kinda silver also, I have repainted it since those photos were taken*

I am looking for some black mesh, but also, i'm thinking about just ordering the MUGEN grill for $240, along with some other engine bay acc's from mugen.

How long have you had your grill on?

i was thinking of also doing the "type-s" gear knob....but, didnt for 2 reasons.
1. its not a type-s!
2. the dealership wanted $130 for it! hahaha

so, i had to settle for the acura word instead, and i think it was a very smart decision.

After a few weeks of searching I found some 9" wide black mesh here. It's good stuff...check it out if you decide not to go with the Mugen.

I only had the thing on for a few days, and I loved it. I've taken it back off to finish up the new templates so hopefully I can start making them for other owners. Mine includes inserts for the lower grill openings as well, and it can be installed without removing the front bumper. Hopefully I'll be done with the finishing touches soon.

 

Hey 21 - looks nice. Did you just put the mesh on top of the stock grill? i.e. are those plastic slats and chrome "A" still there behind the mesh?

btw grillcraft will be making a full kit for our cars in spring 04.

I did remove the origanal grill, and replaced it with the mesh grill. The only stock peice is the chrome around the outside.

007, was/is it hard to do the bottom? I want to do this also, and i do not have the foglights.....do you think you could give me a quick write up on how to?

 

That's awesome news! I sent 3 or 4 emails requesting that they do a TSX grill...guess I wasn't the only one!

21 - The bottom part was actually easier than the top. Everything mounts with skinny black zip ties. They are incredibly strong, and you can't see them at all. I had to do a little bit of drilling into the plastic piece that covers the fog light hole, but its nothing that anyone would notice if your car is a lease and has to be turned in. I may end up redoing the side grills and making them a couple centimeters larger.

When I go home this weekend, hopefully I will be able to finish everything up and get some pics. No garage at my apartment means no working in the cold. I'm too much of a girl for that hardcore stuff.
