Carbon Fiber Grill

Does anyone have pictures of a Carbon Fiber Mugen Replica on their PWP TSX or any color TSX for that matter. I was interested in purchasing one, I'm curious how it looks installed. Looks good by itself.

got mine from ebay.. fitment is tight you have to fondle it alittle.. the look is good in general.. but there are mini things you need to think off..

1: the black part of the grill needs to be painted with better stuff.. i got some black paint that is more durable so i wouldnt have to paint it often

2: you will have to drill a couple holes for it so you can have it stay in place

3: if you want to keep your plastic cover where the hood connects and normally covers the original grill you will have to cut it..

other then that i am happy with it.. maybe someday if i get into making carbon parts myself i will redo it to my own anal retentiveness ( i dont even know if i spelt that word right)

Clee in your link, it looks like there is a gap inbetween the grill and the hood. And Big your link doesn't work. I'm really looking for a good pic of one, maybe one taken right in fron of the car.

I've heard a lot of different opinions about the grill. I find an equal amount of people on each side of the equilibrium. When I look at the real Mugen grill it looks like the grill extends farther back, can anyone confirm this?

They are very similar but the way how the replica was made according to ccccolticehockey he said they sent him 3 copies and they were really bad fitments.

So he thinks finally they got one right but you won't know till you get it.

Colt actually was going to buy a replica, that seems rather odd. I thought he was all about only buying authentic parts. We I'm just curious to see a good picture of one. Do you have any close up pics Craz

No he didn't buy a replica. He was ask to fit it on his car as test.
3 or more times it was a complete failure in not fitting at all. He asked them about cutting it up and sending it back to them to fit it not sure if he fully did that.

I was putting on the hood trim

This grill had no drilled holes and i got this used from a forum member, and fitted.

It got destroyed 3 years ago when i had an car accident.
The fitment was tight and barely stayed flush with out ziptiing every point tightly.

fitment looks pretty much on, it does have a very small gap, which I'm sure only the owner would notice. Looks good, I'm leaning towards getting the paintable replica now.

The replica for 06 is slightly different. This one has some bad fitment on the right side if you look carefully. As well as the bottom i never got it to sit flush since the cf is so hard to tightly fit with the bumper. Used zipties on all 8 points. i did have to push it in a few times so it sit in.
