Thanks for the comments. No, I didn't get the moleskin done. Figured I would take my chances. If I get some small scratches visible only from the inside, so be it. I'll certainly keep everyone up to date.
As for the picture hosting, just go to Imageshack. I'm anything but computer savvy, and I find it very simple to use. Just upload your file and copy the "hotlink" over to the message you're posting. Very easy.
I don't know what's up with the ducks. The same pair (I guess) comes by the neighborhood and hangs out for a few weeks every spring. I was kind of surprised they followed me in the garage while I was in there, though! My wife and I are always giving them bread, so I guess they know where to get fed

I almost forgot--check out those exhaust tips! Some Mother's Mag and Aluminum + a bunch of elbow grease Who knew that even the black crap inside the pipe would actually come clean?

Looks Good! But, Solar Gaurd with lifetime warranty.....Keep your receipt in the glove box and make sure that tint shop stays around because you will be able to use it in about 3yrs if you park outside in the sunlight! You may not "need" it. But your Solar Gaurd film will qualify for a change. 5-6yrs, you will need it, so get it early. BTW-it's lifetime warranty for as long as you own the vehicle. It doesn't transfer when you sell it.
Looks like you didn't get the windshield/visor strip either. That would make the car even darker inside. Good choice on "No Moleskin". I don't think it's needed. Just keep the windows clean! And don't use any amonia based cleaners, your tint will turn purple.
I gotta tint mine! Just been too lazy.

My car is a lease, so I'll have it less than 3 years anyhow. I'll probably have to get the tint removed before I turn the car over, so I'm not too concerned about the long, long-term durability. And my car is almost always in a garage either at home or at work, so not too much direct sunlight cooking!

Tint removal.....around $60-$80. Some will do it for $50 if you are going to retint. Be careful though, removing tint from the rear window usually damages the defroster lines.

Nice tint job! I didn't know 20% would look that dark even in direct sunlight. Good thing I saw your pics so I know how dark 20s are. Good to know you didn't get moleskin. I've gone to various tinters in town and many of them said not to get it because the felt would probably fall off over time and cause a lot of hassle. The tinter I went to today also told me what CJams recommends...just wash the opening occassionally and you shouldn't have much scratching problems.
I went to the tint shop today and am probably going to get Solargard Quantum on my SSM. I can't decide whether to get 37% all around or progressively darker from front to back....37/28/19. Decisions...decisions....

It definitely looks better in person. Actually quite a bit darker than it appears in the photos. And no, it's not a metallic tint. I'm not a huge fan of the reflective stuff. 20% is not technically "legal" here, but KY is pretty lenient on that sort of thing. I've had 20% on various cars for about 12 years and never been pulled over. It's a secondary offense here, too--they have to pull you over for something else before they can write the ticket for the tint.
Time will tell on the moleskin. Let's cross our fingers.
