AME Tracer FS-01 wrapped in PS2's on a CGP

First time these rims have ever been put on a TSX.

Wasn't sure how it would turn out, but it came out pretty good I think.

Tell me what you think:

good?
no good?

they're 18's, tires are 225/40/18

there's over an inch of clearance left for a BBK, so that's good.
and no rubbing at all, but I'm going to drop lower soon.

one out of ten, I'd give 'em a seven.

the pictures make em look a little small.
I definitely need to drop a little more, maybe another inch all around.

specs on the rims:

18 x 7.5 x +48
19.3 lbs each

tires are 20.8 lbs each.

I like it. Looks good on your CGP!

BTW, Would have been possible to get tires with a thinner side profile? They do look a bit to bulky, IDK.

nope.
40 is the lowest sidewall I can go.
they're high performance summer tires too.
I don't want to know what all seasons would look like

after I drop it some more, maybe it won't seem so bulky.

dude... finally you got your wheels, I think they look perfect on a cgp. Anymore mods coming? You started off strong and slowed down recently...

no kidding, the wait was long.
thanks to Sam at Visionary Racing for getting them for me.

well, see after I started modding, my wife decided we needed another
new car.
we ended up buying a new G35s.
and I wasn't allowed to mod anything at all until the G was fully paid off.
house/relationship rules.
so I've been slaving away for months to pay that thing off.
I got it paid off about two months ago now.... then I started ordering
parts again.
so yeah, I have more plans, lots of them.
it's just that the parts need to be ordered from Japan, so I have
to wait for them like I had to wait for the rims.
I did get a few things flown straight over though.
I like being the first person to have a nice JDM part, so sometimes
I just can't take the wait, you know?
I'll show you what comes in whenever it gets here...

hint: coming soon: FEEL's, Mugen, Carbing, Cusco, Tein, Samco, Endless, Amuse, n' more!

thank you.

checking clearance for a BBK...

hoping that is enough room.
from the stock caliper to the wheel spokes is about 7/8 of an inch.

I like 'em. They fit the car nicely. 18x8 would look a bit better (more flush) but that's nothing a spacer can't solve (which you may need to do depending which BBK you opt for).

seems like you wait for all your parts ... if you weren't such a jdm fanatic i would be betting you went with the full hytech setup. good luck with your project and great start

thanks guys.

actually HyTech certainly has been in my discussions.

the facts are that no JDM options are really viable for
getting the hp adds most people want.

so three options exist:
CT SC (I'd have to wait for Hondata for god knows how long)
HyTech (I'd have to wait for the parts for over a year I'm sure, then go through
the engine build process)
Custom Turbo (losing gauges/options in the car is not an option.. so no.)

engine management is needed and key.
for the 08 I have very little to no options right now.
HyTech seems the only possible solution, but I need to know
more about it and all of it's details.
I'm considering it though.

hyper silver I think it's called.
it's either this, bronze, or gloss black.

^ I saw those pics of the TL, very nice. Sams RL is what made me order
these. I will be dropping even lower soon and adding a BBK to kinda finish
off the look, hopefully that'll help.

Blackura, these would look crazy (in black/gunmetal) on your Type S. Good meeting you yesterday btw.
