6000k vs 4300k xenon bulbs

You need a special tool to access the HID housing cover it's a T-15 torx I think with a hole in the middle. I got one from my Snap On tool guy. Other then that it's a easy to do. Just don't touch the bulb itself.

Ok thanks for the help fellers. Next question, wheres the cheapest place to pick up these bulbs? In canada xenon depot has them for 248 for a bulb..... now 248 i dont know if thats expensive or not.
I have never ever spent near 500 bones for an upgraded lighting system but if many of you have it and many of you like it-then i will most likely follow suit.
Personally, i like the HID on the TSX but agreeing with most other members, the emitted light doesnt seem too 'HID' for me there is a blue tinge but I would rather have the completely blue tinge emitted by most bimmers. (ie the X5)
Your thoughts please.
Thanks

I'd shop aroud on the web and see what you can find. Remember you just need the bulbs not the whole kit. Avoid cheap bulbs as they will end up buring out usually

Hello!
I was all set to buy some Phillips 6000k D2S bulbs, but decided to do some research first and I gather some pretty neat infos. The TSX has the Phillips 4300k bulbs, apparently they produce the most visible light or lumen. If you switch to the 6000k you'll lose about ~25% lumen. I think some of the members were too quick in swapping lights, apparently after about ~100hrs the 4300k bulbs will change to 5000k, therefore losing the yellow.
Ive even read that after many hrs they will eventually be 6000k. Hope this helps.

My neighbor still has his stock bulbs on his TSX and after having it almost a year with 56K miles on the car (He travels a lot) they are still very yellow compared to aftermarket bulbs, so i wouldn't get my hopes up

Have you ever looked at your car from far away? Not just the TSX, any car with Xenon headlights? Depending on the brand, there all different colors. Mercedez can be a bright white light with a hint of blue, or a nice glacier type blue. Audi has more of a purple/blue color and BMW has a nice blue color to it. From far away, I'd say the TSX has a blue to it, similar to the Audi/BMW. The awesome part about cars with Xenon headlights with projection, while going over a bump or up/down a hill there's a crazy purple, pink, and blue type color and then it goes back down to the original color. You can see this color at the cut off line while parked in front of a wall or garage.

Yeah I know, that effect comes from only cars with a projector type set up, you wouldn't see that with the AcuraTL(2003 and below), 2000,2001 Mercedez Benz S500, or any other vehicle without projection. No matter what though, doesn't every vehicle with Xenon have a blue/purlish type color? I've never seen one with the "white" color.

Why is it that Audi's xenon makes more purplish color while BMW's make a bluish color? From what I read before, they're all 4300K Xenons

Higher K = less light on road, bluer & brighter to the eyes
Less K = whiter, more light on the road & less bright to the eyes
